Yellowhead Highway through British Columbia and Alberta

We made a brief trip to Edmonton in June to see our new granddaughter and her family and made a number of stops along the way, looking for native orchids, wildlife and anything else of interest we could find.  We followed the Yellowhead Highway north through Kamloops and Blue River to Tete Jaune Cache and then east through Mount Robson Provincial Park and through Jasper National Park.  Here's a diary-in-pictures of that trip.

Adorable babies Ron.
Your grandchildren are the sweetest.

The picture of Kailyn holding her new sister is very neat. I have one of older boy with younger boy and they freeze time; its hard for me to imagine them as this young now--when they are teenagers.

Your photographs make me feel that I wish I had gone to Jasper this year.
Maybe soon.

Hi Julie,

Nice to hear from you. I check your blog periodically to see what you are up to and it sounds as though you are extremely busy.

Thanks for the kind comments on the children's photos. They grow far too quickly and like you it is hard for us to think of our children with children of their own.

Hope you get to Jasper.

Wonderful nature shots! One more beautiful than the next. The Amish folks enjoying the same sites make for charming photos, too. I agree, the grandkid shots are adorable =) ~Fizzie~

Great photos Dad! The park ones look like paintings almost. And of course, the adorable children round out the group of photos perfectly ;-). Actually, they probably fit right in with all the wildlife somewhere :-) You had great shots of the mountain sheep/goats and elk - they look like they posed for you. Now you just need to repeat the trip with the beauty of some white snow. Imagine what great shots you'd get ;-) Xx ~ Rose~

Thanks, Rose. The kids are the best part and we'd love to see them again.
