Montana 2017

"children's children are the crown of old men"

When we left the Black Hills after camping there a week with our daughter, son-in-law and their family, we took two of our grandchildren with us to spend the rest of the summer with us.  We traveled to the area of Bozeman, Montana, intending to go on to Yellowstone National Park.  We spent the weekend there before going on to Yellowstone and camped near the town of Three Forks. In Three Forks we went on Saturday to the town parade and later to their rodeo.  We also made a brief excursion up Hyalite Canyon but the weather was rather poor and we did not spend a lot of time in the mountains.  Monday we went on to Yellowstone, but this post will not include photos from there since I've already posted them.

Afternoon Walk

A few days ago (October 8th) the sun was shining and our youngest son, Edward had some time between work and school. He and I decided to take an hour and a walk with our cameras. Here's some of the pictures we took of the last autumn flowers, the fast disappearing autumn color and whatever else we could find. By the time we arrived home, the light was fading, the clouds had moved in and it was starting to sprinkle.
