These are some of my natural history ramblings, both literary and afoot, the result of a search for whatever there is to be found, including the native orchids and wildflowers of the beautiful state in which we live.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland
No orchids in this post, but a lot of snow. We've had winter with a vengeance this past week, first very cold temperatures, cold at least for our area, and then several days of snowfall. On Thanksgiving Day we went for a walk in the snow after our big dinner and took our cameras along. These are some of the pictures we took. Although many of them look like and have the quality of black and white photos, in fact none of them are black and white.

Oh the chainlink fence picture
fabulous
That wasn't my favorite, Marti, but glad you like it. It was neat the way the snow collected on the links.
that is why I like it A unique magic moment
The whole walk was magical - it was Thanksgiving day, so there weren't many people around, it was very quiet, and the snow was beautiful - hanging on everything. I'm not a big fan of snow, but it was nice being out in it that day.
C'est jolis comme clichés au caractère hivernal.
Belle série Ron.
Bon week end.
