These are some of my natural history ramblings, both literary and afoot, the result of a search for whatever there is to be found, including the native orchids and wildflowers of the beautiful state in which we live.

Derelict Vehicles
This is one of our favorite places for photos when we have nowhere else to go. The vehicles and buildings shown are in the yard of a house on Mosquito Lake Road in the foothills of the Cascades near the North Fork of the Nooksack River. The vehicles are gradually deteriorating since we first discovered them, and I suppose it is somewhat of a shame that they are not being preserved, but they are certainly good for photos.

while it is sad so see them all deteriorate, the farm equipment and what looks to be a dump truck and a tow truck are particularly sad to lose.
It is a bit sad. I would imagine that some of these are rather rare and even worse to lose them then, but they certainly do make great subjects for photography.
