Our fourth day in Death Valley National Park began and ended at Ashford Mill but was a very busy day. We drove up the Badwater Road from Ashford Mill stopping often for photos. We hiked to Natural Bridge, stopped at Badwater, the lowest point in North America at 282 ft (86 m) below sea level, explored the Devil's Golf Course with its salt formations, drove through Artist's Drive, stopped briefly at the visitors' center at Furnace Creek for lunch, hiked along Salt Creek and saw the pupfish there, turned west on the main park road and went to Mosaic Canyon, one of our favorite places, where we hiked again. From Mosaic Canyon we went back to Mesquite Flats Sand Dunes and after having our supper, hiked the dunes and watched the sunset before driving back to Ashford Mill where we spent the night.
