Back on the main road we stopped briefly at the Devil's Golf Course with its salt formations and then went west and then south on SR 190 to the Emigrant Canyon Road which we followed to the Skidoo Road and that to the old mining town of Skidoo, which now is nothing but sagebrush and a sign. Along the way to Skidoo we visited several old mining sites and had some wonderful views of the valley.

Back on the Emigrant Canyon Road we drove the short distance to the Aguereberry Point Road and visited the ghost town of Harrisburg and nearby Eureka Mine.
From Harrisburg, where we spent a good part of the afternoon exploring, we drove on to Aguereberry Point, one of our favorite places in Death Valley. We had our supper there, watched the sunset, did some star photography and relaxed before retiring for the night.
