The second day of our stay in Zion National Park began at the Canyon Overlook Trail which we hiked to see the sunrise. Not only was the sunrise spectacular but we saw a lot of Bighorn Sheep as well.
From Canyon Overlook we drove to the visitors' center and took the shuttle bus to the Narrows making several stops along the way. I had wanted to get wetsuits and go up the Narrows but my wife did not want to - thought the water was too deep and the hike too dangerous.

After taking the shuttle bus partway down the canyon we hiked to Emerald Pools, not a long hike but with beautiful views across the valley.
Finished with our hike we took the shuttle bus back to the visitors' center, got our car and drove up through the canyon stopped at Zion Junction for more photos before going on to Canyon Overlook.
We hiked once again to Canyon Overlook to watch the sunset, then found a place to stay for the night and got up during the night to do some star photography.
Next morning we left the park and headed for Bryce Canyon National Park a little further north.
