Our 2018 trip to the southwest ended with visits to Zion and Bryce National Parks. We drove through the night from Redlands, California, to Zion, arriving in the morning, and spent two days and two nights in the park. This is the record and photos of our first day. After having our breakfast, we took the shuttle from the visitors' center up the canyon and decided to hike to Weeping Rock, a short hike across the canyon from Angel's Landing. In the same area we also hiked the trail through Echo Canyon to Observation Point, a fabulous hike with stunning view of the canyon.

After having our lunch at Observation Point we hiked back down and went back to the visitors' center for a rest. I spent most of the time there wandering the area and learning about the park.
We went on from the visitors' center to the junction of the main road and the scenic drive and walked part of the Pa'ius Trail there staying for the sunset before finding a place to spend the night.
